Q & A: How To Promote Products On My Site?
This question comes from a Scrappy Business reader:
Josh,
I run a small IT consulting and web hosting company and am about to launch a new site and services in the very near future. I am interested in being able to offer free google, yahoo, citysearch, etc, vouchers or credits to my clients. I myself at this time am not using any of their services for advertise my company, so I am not familiar with their promotional offerings. Is there anyway you can guide me in the right direction to start offering these services to my clients and also make a small profit off it as well?
Regards,
Mark
In order to promote products on your website, you first need to sign up with Commission Junction. When signing up, you will be asked for your social security number or corporate EIN number, as well as your website and bank information for directly depositing your commissions. Once signed in, you can search thousands of merchants for products to promote, including some of the offers I promote on this website. If someone clicks on your link (which contains your affiliate ID), and then that person buys something, you make money.
