Promote Affiliate Offers by Email
In this video I’m reviewing Fast Email Extractor, a Windows based email extractor that harvests email address and fax numbers from websites, or files located on your hard drive.
The program is quite fast, and can harvest several thousand emails in a few hours.
It works by issuing a keyword search query to Google, Yahoo and MSN and then scraping the URLs from the search results. Fast Email Extractor then visits each site recursively and looks for email addresses.
I’ve tried several Windows based email harvesters, and this one is by far the best. It allows you to set the number of parallel threads, the number of pages it searches per keyword, and the number of pages per domain for direct extraction. These options allow you to speed up searching considerably.
Before undertaking any type of email harvesting or bulk emailing, you must check with all local and federal laws to ensure you are in compliance. Don’t even consider spamming–the fines are enormous and there are much easier ways to promote affiliate campaigns (which I outline on this site).
If you do choose to harvest emails, ensure that your affiliate manager and merchant know what you are up to. You will probably get a barrage of complaints which get directed at the web host you used for sending the emails, or your local ISP if you opted to send the emails from your personal computer.
In the coming week, I will be reviewing a legitimate Windows based bulk email sender that works from your personal computer using any SMTP server you specify.
