Domain Registry of America, Part 2

Back on October 22nd, I made a post about “Domain Registry of America” - These clowns that send you these “Domain Name Expiration Notice” letters which look like a bill.

I own tons of domains, and I get these things all the time! My mom and my sister almost paid this company, which apparently switches over your domain registrar then charges you $30/year! (Compared to $7/year which most people pay).

I called these guys back in October 22, 2007 and told them to remove me from their mailing list.

You can listen to the first audio recording here.

Domain Registry of America sent me another one of these “letters”.. So I had to call them again:

My place of employment just got an e-mail from Domain Registry of America last week. The letter implied that we had contacted them to switch our domain over to them. It even had an order number in the subject line!! Very slimy tactics.

It’s amazing they’ve been doing variations on this scam for YEARS now!
