Hey Raya,

In response to your question.. The most fundamental aspect of affiliate marketing is proper tracking. You need to know which keywords are converting into sales and which are not.

By asking the merchant to place the MSN Conversion tracking code on his thank you page, you now have the ability to see which keywords are making sales from within your MSN account interface (or by generating a report).

After you collect enough data, you can bid higher on your high ROI keywords to gain better placement and delete the poor performing keywords.

Sincerely,
Joshua

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the step-by-step instructions...very useful for newbies like me. I'm somewhat confused about step 5 though - why is it necessary, and how willing are merchants to do this?
